How It Works

1. Book Your Appointment:
   • Schedule an appointment at the appropriate Embassy, Consulate General, or Honorary Consul’s office.
2. Prepare Your Documents:
   • Use our detailed checklist to gather all required documents.
3. Attend Your Appointment:
   • Present yourself in person for identification, biometric data capture, and document verification.
4. Processing & Delivery:
   • Your application is processed by the relevant authorities. Once approved, your new passport or ID card is sent to you by courier.
5. Ongoing Support:
   • We provide continuous support and updates throughout the process.

Documents Required

For Adult Passport Applications (Renewal & First-Time Applicants)

• Completed passport application form
• Valid Italian ID or previous passport (if applicable)
• Proof of AIRE registration
• Two recent passport-sized photos (compliant with Italian requirements)
• Valid residency permit or proof of residence in the UK
• Payment receipt of consular fees

For Minors (0-17 Years Old)

• Application signed by both parents (or legal guardians)
• Valid Italian passport or ID card of the minor (if applicable)
• Birth certificate registered with the Italian authorities
• Both parents’ passports or IDs
• Proof of parental consent (if applicable, such as in cases of sole custody)

For Lost or Stolen Passports

• Police report (denuncia di smarrimento/furto)
• ID document or proof of Italian citizenship
• Completed application form
• Two passport-sized photos
• Consular fee payment

For Emergency Passports (Valid for Limited Travel)

• Proof of urgent travel (e.g., airline ticket, medical emergency proof)
• Lost/stolen passport report (if applicable)
• Completed emergency passport application form
• Two passport-sized photos
• Consular fee payment

Important Information

• AIRE Registration:You must be registered in AIRE to apply for a passport abroad. If your birth certificate has not been registered with the Italian authorities, this must be done first.
• Processing Time:Standard processing can take several weeks, while emergency passports are issued faster.
• Honorary Consuls:Some applications can be processed via Honorary Consuls or Consular Agencies to save time and travel.
• Children’s Passports:Applications for minors under 12 years old must be submitted via post.
