Tourist Visa

Documents Required

All documents must be presented in original with one photocopy. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Application Documents:

• Completed visa application form (signed by the applicant).
• Printed and signed application checklist.
• Valid passport or travel document:
  • Must have two blank pages and be valid for at least three months beyond the return date.
• UK Residency:
  • UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code. (Share codes for work or study purposes will not be accepted.)
• One passport-size photograph (refer to the Photo Specifications section).

Travel and Accommodation:

Proof of Travel

• Round-trip flight tickets or Eurotunnel/ferry reservations showing passenger name, dates, and travel details.
• They must be fully paid, and report the full name of the applicant/s as per passport. 

Proof of accommodation:

• Hotel booking confirmation for the duration of the trip.
• The hotel must be paid in GBP or EUR; foreign agencies and currencies are NOT accepted; priceless hotel vouchers are NOT accepted
• If staying with family or friends: Sponsorship letter with the host’s valid ID/passport (with a valid residence permit if they are a non-EU citizen).

Additional requirements for visitors to family/friends:

• Invitation letter from the host in Italy, including:
  • Full name, address, and contact information.
  • Purpose and duration of the visit.
  • A copy of the host’s valid ID/passport and residence permit (if non-EU).

 Proof of Employment or Social Status:

• For employees: Original letter from the employer not older than 30 days, confirming:

• • Position, salary, and duration of employment.
  • Approved leave for travel.
  • Attach last three payslips.
• For self-employed applicants (dated within the last 30 days):
  • Certificate of incorporation.
  • Last three months’ business bank statements.
  • Official letter from an accountant, banker, or solicitor confirming the nature of the business.
• For students:
  • Official letter from the educational institution confirming enrolment and attendance.
• For retirees:
  • Official pension statements or benefits documentation.
• For unemployed dependents:
  • Sponsor’s employment details and last three months’ payslips.
  • Original birth or marriage certificate to confirm relationship.
  • Signed sponsorship letter.

 Proof of Finance:

• Recent UK bank statements covering the last three months.
• Documents must demonstrate the applicant’s ability to cover travel expenses.
• If sponsored: Official sponsorship letter with relevant supporting documents.

(Minimum financial requirements are set by the Italian authorities to ensure applicants have sufficient funds to cover their stay.)

Additional Requirements (if applicable):

• For citizens of Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Iraq:
  • Original birth certificate or consular declaration with full names of both parents.

Photo Specifications

Applicants must submit two recent passport-sized photographs that meet the following specifications:

• Background: Light (white or off-white) background, ensuring clear contrast with facial features.
• Quality: High-quality, clear, and in focus—no shadows or glare.
• Expression: Full-face, neutral expression (no smiles). Eyes must be open and visible.
• Accessories: No sunglasses or tinted glasses. Head coverings are only permitted for religious or cultural reasons; facial features must remain visible.
• Dimensions: Standard passport size (35mm x 45mm).
• Recency: Photograph must have been taken within the last six months.
• Format: Printed on high-quality photographic paper and attached to the visa application form.
