Documents Required

General Requirements

• Completed visa application form – Download Here.
• Valid passport – Must be valid for at least three months beyond the stay in Italy and have at least two blank pages.
• UK Residency: A UK eVisa printout from UKVI with a valid share code.
• Recent passport-style photo – Must be full-frontal, white background, and not older than 6 months.
• Proof of financial means (minimum €8,500 per year or €14,000 for business activity).
• Proof of accommodation in Italy (hotel booking, rental agreement, or property ownership document).
• Round-trip travel ticket reservation or proof of transportation.

Specific Requirements for Self-Employed Applicants

For Self-Employed Professionals

• Registration certificate with an Italian professional board/association (if applicable).
• Declaration from the relevant Italian authority confirming the applicant’s professional standing.
• Proof of past earnings (UK tax returns, invoices, or financial records).
• Declaration of financial sufficiency issued by the Italian Chamber of Commerce.

For Entrepreneurs & Business Owners

• Certificate of business registration in Italy (Visura Camerale).
• Proof of economic significance of the business (investment plan, financial projections).
• Declaration of responsibility from the company’s legal representative in Italy.
• Company financial statements for the past three years.

For Partners & Chairpersons of Italian Companies

• Declaration from the company’s legal representative stating the applicant’s role.
• Company registration certificate (must be in operation for at least three years).
• Proof of the company’s financial stability.

For Highly Skilled Professionals

• Employment contract or invitation letter from an Italian institution.
• Declaration from the Italian Territorial Labour Office (DTL) confirming that the applicant is not a subordinate worker.

For Sports Professionals & Athletes

• Official consent from CONI (Italian National Olympic Committee) confirming the applicant’s sport and the team/club in Italy.
• “Nulla Osta” (Authorization) from the Italian Questura (Police Commissary).

For Artists & Entertainment Professionals

• Job contract ensuring the compensation meets Italian industry standards.
• Proof of invitation from a renowned Italian institution or theatre.

Proof of Travel and Accommodation

• Comprehensive travel insurance issued in the UK or a Schengen country, covering:
  • Minimum €30,000 for medical expenses, hospitalization, and repatriation.
  • The entire duration of stay in Italy and the Schengen Area.
  • A confirmation letter from the insurance provider stating Schengen coverage.

Additional Requirements for Certain Nationalities

• Citizens of Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine must provide a birth certificate or consular declaration with full parental names.

Important Notes

• Visa applications with incomplete documents will not be accepted. If any required document is missing, the applicant must reschedule a new appointment.
• Submission of all documents does not guarantee visa approval. The Consulate reserves the right to request additional documents or interviews.
• Visa policies may change without prior notice. The Consulate has full authority to evaluate each application.
